  I took my best friend to Baytowne Nails on a Sunday because her usual salon was closed on Sunday. We were walk-ins. She got a basic pedicure ($25) and I got a basic manicure ($14). This is not really a good value, but not outrageously expensive. There was a good variety of polish colors and some good brands to choose from.
  
  It was somewhat busy and there wasn't enough technicians for all of the customers. It took about 15-20 minutes for my friend to get into a pedicure chair and they had me sit with her while a manicure station opened up. My friend was decently happy with her pedicure and very happy with how smooth they got her heels.
  
  I didn't get into a manicure station until after my friend's pedicure was completely finished, so about an hour. My manicure was pretty rushed, especially the shaping and cuticles. The person who was going to be serviced after me was already sitting in the station next to me, soaking her nails. The main reason for my low rating is that the cuticle trimming was torturous. The technician was going so fast, that my cuticles were getting pulled painfully. Two of my cuticles ended up bleeding and I finally had to ask her to just stop. The photo I have added is from 3 days later, and you can see the scabbing at my cuticles and that they are very ragged looking. My cuticles are also still sore, which is a bummer.
  
  Honestly, I might have had a bad experience due to under-staffing, but it was too painful for me to want to go back. It also took over 2 hours for us to get two basic services. You may have a better experience if you make an appointment or go on a weekday.
