  I once came back from an international trip and wanted to take a nap at that train station. I was rudely asked not to sleep or to leave the premices. The agent was as rude as can be. Two days ago I witnessed another Amtrak agent seek police assistance to have another (black male) customer removed from the train station. I am not quite sure what is going on but this is not how a train station should be operated.

  The Illinois Terminal is a dump filled with cretins and rude security staff, who hassle you for simply hanging out longer than they think you should. When I complained about this perpetual bullying, one of the jerks responded by saying, "this is a place of business." I found that response humorous in light of the fact that MTD gets taxpayer funds, and so the place really ought to be treated as part of the commons. Of course they only give poor-looking people a hard time. If I wore suits, they would probably kiss my ass. In any case, I can't believe those clowns get paid for just standing around and staring people down - what a pathetic existence. I would be embarrassed if being a professional nuisance was the source of my livelihood.
